ЕXPECTORANS No5® contains 6.41 g Althaeae Radix extractum fluidum; 1.92 g sodium benzoate; 0.08 g potassium bromide; 0.09 g ammonium chloride.

The therapeutic effect of EXPECTORANS No5® is associated with the activity of each of the ingredients individually and in combination.

The active substances possess demulcent effect and suppress the coughing reflex, facilitate the expectoration, act as antimicrobials and relieve the spasms of smooth muscles; the action of potassium bromide is relaxing, while sodium benzoate and ammonium chloride liquefy the mucus.

Dosage

The recommended dose for adults and children over 12 years of age is 10 ml (2 tea spoons) of EXPECTORANS No5^® 3 times daily after meals. The treatment duration may last 7-10 days.

The use of EXPECTORANS No5® is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
